Fight Like a Saint

“WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH & BLOOD, BUT AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST RULERS OF DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES…”

Friends, be vigilant. Be discerning.

Some people want you to get out of alignment so they’ll have a bonafide reason to spew the hate they already feel toward you. Don’t bite that hook. 🚫

They have developed a story about you and need to do all within their power to make their faulty narrative seem true. They need justification for their feelings. Don’t be drawn into this scheme. Truth is, it’s not you that they are against. It’s what they see in you. They envy your confidence. They hate the gifts they see. They despise they way you maneuver with the anointing. In the ESV translation John sums it up like this:

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

They will attempt to lure you into their darkness, because they despise light. This is the light of the our Lord. You’ll be tempted to fight like them. 🗣DON’T. Just DON’T. Please DON’T. 📢

You have no business descending to the darkness. 👑

You may earnestly pray for them to step into the light.

You may ask the Lord to remove any sin and temptation that beckons for you.

You may stay out of their striking distance (for their sake and yours).

Remember that you are not fighting the people or like the people. You don’t have to lower yourself to utilize their ill-formed weapons when your divine Shield is custom built for such battles.

Keep the high ground where the enemy is uncomfortable, irritated and disoriented. You’ll have home field advantage and the aerial view will work in your favor. Set yourself on the firm foundation of truth and love and light - and don’t allow yourself to be moved.

And while you’re at it, go ahead and get in the victory formation because you “W” has already been secured. 🙌🏽

The victory has been won.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
